Some events and groups (including Little Rascals, the Craft Group and the Men's Breakfast) meet in the church lounge at the back of the building. To reach this room go through the main front door of the church and then through the door on the left hand side of the back wall of the room.

If the doors on the front of the church are not open, then you can go through the gates on the left side of the church and walk under the canopy and through the door at the back. Once inside, turn right through the small door, then left into the lounge.

What should I expect from a church service?

  • The service starts at 10.45 and finishes around 12.00. Most people arrive from 10.30. If you are late this is not a problem to us, we will still love to meet you.

  • You will be greeted as you come in, there is seating downstairs and upstairs - find a space, sit down and relax.

  • There is no dress code; some people dress smartly, others go for casual.
  • During the church service we pray, sing songs and listen to a talk which lasts about 30 minutes.

  • We are asked to stand up and sit down at particular points in the service – you are welcome to join in or just sit back and watch.

  • At the end of the service most people stay for tea and coffee and a chat and we hope you will too.

What about my children?

  • We are a family church, crying babies and restless children are welcome.

  • Part way through most services, children leave for ‘junior church’ (Sunday school). Visiting children are welcome to join in, and you are welcome to accompany them, or they can stay in church. All our children’s workers are DBS certified.

How much does it cost?

Please do not feel you need to give us money as this is something that our church family enjoys doing because we see how it is used to change our world. But if you do want to donate money to the work of our church, we have a big wooden collection box by the front door. The money goes towards running costs of the church and projects we support. If you would prefer to set up regular donations by standing order, please see our treasurer.

Facilities

  • We have toilets upstairs and downstairs. One downstairs toilet is wheelchair accessible and has baby changing facilities.

  • Entry to church and through the building is fairly level and wheelchair accessible.

  • Song words are projected onto the wall at the front of church, large print copies of song words are available at the front door.

  • A loop system is in place in the church.

  • We run a crèche during the morning service where children under 3 can play. Parents are welcome to stay with their children or leave them in the creche during the service.
