World Vision

Our church is supporting 10 children in the Lideta area of Ethiopia. The 200,000 inhabitants of Lideta live in a densely packed urban area where they make a living trading in Ethiopia’s largest market, Marketo.

Their problems include overcrowding and poor sanitation, a lack of medical facilities, HIV/AIDS prevalence (twice the national average) and a low income, meaning that many do not get enough to eat.

Help and support through World Vision is gradually improving the situation. World Vision gets much of its income through sponsorship by individuals and churches and our church has committed to support 10 children there.

These are the children we support:

    Hanisa       Helen        Maheder      Mahelet       Mahinder

    Tomesgen   Tofiques      Yohannes    Yonas         Zekarias

We support these children not only with money, but also with regular cards and letters and World Vision keeps us informed of progress with both these children and the local projects. We also support them in prayer.
