Our Parish Nurse, Lesley Saillet, is an experienced Registered Nurse who has been working at Long Buckby Surgery for the last 20 years. She is a member of our Church.

Parish Nursing promotes healthy living by offering physical, social, psychological and spiritual support. Parish Nursing is for people of all faiths or no faith at all, although firmly rooted in Christian Belief.

How can our Parish Nurse help you?

Examples include:

- Help with transport for hospital visits

- Help to reduce stress through difficult life events such as loss of job or caring for a sick relative

- Referring on to G.P. or other health care professionals

- Help in understanding your illness

- Time to listen and understand

- Support through grief after the loss of a loved one.

- Offering prayer and discussion to link health and faith

- Providing information on healthcare topics
