Ultimately our future lies in God’s hands, but we have a duty to plan for the future of the church, seeking God’s will in all that we do.

We currently have three areas where we are developing the church - the Leadership Structure, the Physical Structure and the Spiritual Life of the Members.

Leadership Structure

We are striving to make sure that our leadership structure gives the best potential for the church to grow rather than be controlled by a small group of people. We have 8 Deacons who, along with our Minister, are responsible for the oversight of different areas of our church life and mission. Each leader is then supported by a team of our church family members according their gifts. In this way our aim is to demonstrate that the church is the body of Christ and each member has their own part to play.

Physical Structure

We are currently seeking God’s guidance over how we might improve our building so it can be used to achieve the mission we have for God’s work in this place. This is a challenging, yet exciting time as we consider so many aspects of our premises. What impression does it give from the outside? How welcoming is it inside? What needs to be improved with our seating, flooring, heating, lighting, sound and visual equipment, access and safety? Please pray with us that we will make decisions which honour God. Perhaps God needs to challenge our personal preferences or our “this is what we are used to” thoughts. Pray for our whole church family that in this time of transition we will be guided by God’s Spirirt and move forward in complete unity.

Spiritual Life

We are currently running seminars allowing members to consider their spiritual gifts and roles within the church, encouraging members to apply these gifts for their own spiritual growth as well as that of the Church. If you require details of the next seminar, please contact the Minister.

Following on from two very successful initial Alpha Courses in 2007, we are planning a third Alpha course and are inviting everyone in the village to join us as well as friends and acquaintances of Church members. If you would like more details of the next Alpha Course please contact the Pastor.
